USG shows 1Q loss of $42 million

USG Corp., North America's largest maker of gypsum wallboard, posted a first-quarter net loss of $42 million, or 42 cents a share.

That compares with a net loss of $41 million, or 42 cents, a year earlier, Chicago-based USG said today in a statement.
