Entries are due by Feb. 9 for St. Charles St. Patrick's Parade

The Downtown St. Charles Partnership is now accepting entries for the St. Patrick's Parade, which will take place at 2 p.m. Saturday, March 1, on Main Street in St. Charles. The deadline for parade entries is Friday, Feb. 9.

The Downtown St. Charles Partnership is in need of volunteer help from the community and is accepting volunteer applications up to the date of the parade. Parade pacers, marshals and banner carriers are needed.

Local businesses, community groups and nonprofits are encouraged to participate in the parade. Those that wish to participate must complete an entry form, obtain a certificate of insurance, sign off on the rules and regulations, and return the documents along with the appropriate entrance fee, to the Downtown St. Charles Partnership office no later than Friday, Feb. 9.

The entry fee is $275 for businesses, $125 for members, and $25 for nonprofit organizations.

This year, some of the entertainment includes the Dundee Scottish Pipe Band, Tunes of Glory Pipe Band, and an all-time favorite, South Shore Drill Team. The parade also will include floats, school groups, preschools, service clubs and more.

Businesses looking to sponsor an element in the parade and receive recognition through marketing and promotions are encouraged to immediately contact the Downtown St. Charles Partnership. The parade would not be possible without sponsors and volunteers.

Consider helping your community out and volunteer your time.

Parade entry, sponsorship and volunteer information are all available on the event webpage at www.downtownstcharles.org/stpats.
