Illinois man dies in crash at indoor go-kart track in Indiana
INDIANAPOLIS -- An Illinois man has died in a go-kart crash at an indoor track in Indianapolis.
Police say the 23-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene Thursday night at the Fastimes Indoor Karting Center after suffering a deep cut to the neck.
The man's name was not immediately released.
Indianapolis police spokesman Sergeant Paul Thompson says the man apparently lost control of his vehicle during a turn and struck a rail or a wall. Police say he was wearing a helmet and appeared to have been wearing seat restraints when he crashed.
Police say he was with a group of AT&T employees from the Chicago area who had been attending training in Indianapolis.
