Sentencing delayed for ex-Hanover Park gymnastics coach
Sentencing in Michigan for a former Hanover Park gymnastics instructor who served time here for molesting three of the girls he coached has been postponed until April 28.
Bryan Brown, 39, faces the possibility of life in prison without parole following a conviction last month for sexually assaulting a 5-year-old girl at his home in suburban Detroit.
He'd been scheduled for sentencing today but that was delayed.
In 1997, Brown, then of Elk Grove Village, was convicted of molesting three girls at the Gymkhana Gymnastics Club in Hanover Park. He was released from prison in 2005 after serving six years of an eight-year sentence.
Brown currently also faces federal charges of sexual exploitation of children and possession of child pornography. Those charges are still working their way through the federal system.
