It's time to speak out on gay marriage

There is much in the news today, regarding the homosexual push to legitimize their chosen lifestyle. It starts with adding homosexuality to the nondiscrimination laws of our state, and the goal of acceptance of this choice as a good one.

Those that are against institutionalizing same sex -unions, and its inevitable successor "gay" marriage, do not suddenly become a hater or bigot because they feel this lifestyle is not a good choice for children and country. Studies are crystal clear that children need both a mother and father, and do much better in families with both. These marriages contribute unique benefits to society that homosexual unions do not. They provide the future citizens to continue our country from generation to generation. They provide the workers to fill retirees jobs, and their earnings pay the taxes that keep our country growing. These earnings pay for social security and Medicare.

The homosexual agenda from the start has pledged to demonize those who disagree with them by telling activists to compare people with traditional values to the Ku Klux Klan and other hate groups. Their brand of tolerance far different from the tolerance they demand. We can't "sleep in" on this one, the stakes are far to high to be silenced through intimidation.

Call your representative and tell him you do not want House Bill 1826 to pass allowing civil unions in Illinois.
