Thank you, North Aurora

I have been overwhelmed with the number of phone calls, e-mails, cards and personal congratulations. Thank you. The important part of an election is the citizens who take the time to vote. It is hard to believe that less than 23 percent of the North Aurora registered voters actually voted. I thank each who did.

I also want to thank my wife, Mary, and especially my daughter, Nancy Zies, who worked so hard with my close friends during the campaign.

I enjoyed visiting all of North Aurora on my Segway. I met some outstanding people and was asked some important questions.

I am excited about the next four years and I hope to hear from many of our citizens at "Coffee with the Mayor," by phone, e-mail or on the street.
