Salute to Arends for service to Bartlett

May I take this opportunity to share another opinion of Tom Arends' character? For many years now, I have worked closely with him on the Bartlett Fourth of July Committee. He is tireless in his dedication to providing the citizens of Bartlett and surrounding towns a festival reminiscent of the long-forgotten small-town atmosphere. This annual celebration has grown yearly; and may soon be one of the few left.

My husband and I have also been called upon by Tom to assist in Lions Club activities that directly benefit so many in the Bartlett area. Tom commits long hours to see that visually and hearing-impaired individuals receive assistance from the Bartlett Lions Club. His service to our community is commendable.
