Three nabbed in Beach Park burglary

Two men and a woman were charged with two burglary counts each after a break-in around 2 a.m. Thursday at a Mobil gasoline station near Green Bay and Blanchard roads in Beach Park. Charged were Joey Rodriguez, 26, of Waukegan; Ellen Smedegard, 27, of Park City; and Jerami Henderson, 31, of Waukegan. Sheriff's police said the front door was smashed and some cases of beer removed. Authorities said they tied the trio to an April 20 burglary of $30 from Frank and Fries in Beach Park during questioning. Rodriguez and Henderson were each being held on $100,000 bond in the Lake County jail in Waukegan. Smedegard was freed on her own recognizance.
