Derrick rose to the occasion: Without question, the star of the Bulls' 105-103 overtime victory was Derrick Rose, who produced an unforgettable performance in his NBA playoff debut. The rookie point guard scored 36 points, beating his regular-season high by 9.

T-time in crunch time: Who thought the Bulls would ever win a game like this, with Tyrus Thomas scoring 6 of 8 points in overtime, all on long jumpers, to win a playoff game at Boston? Don't forget, Thomas went 2-for-17 from the field in his first game at the Garden this season.

Lucky shamrock: The Bulls breathed a sigh of relief when Boston's Paul Pierce missed the second of 2 free throws with 2.6 seconds left in regulation to keep the score tied and send it to overtime.
