How hard is it to do one act of kindness?
Yesterday, April 1, on Route 14 near Hicks Road (Palatine) I noticed a black and brown puppy running around the street nearly hit by numerous vehicles (it was daylight). You tell me that you busy, busy people could not stop your automobile and help this poor puppy?
After I rescued the puppy many people commented how nice I was. It would be easy for everybody to be nice. All you have to do is stop the automobile and help the poor puppy (how about thinking of others, what a concept).
It took me 10 minutes of driving around the neighborhood unsuccessfully trying to find the owner, then 10 minutes to drive the puppy to the Palatine Police Department Animal Rescue. So 20 minutes out of my busy life to save an animal's life.
I hope the family reunites with this puppy. It's not so hard to be nice.
