Different views vs. deadly pejoratives

It is one thing to disagree with public officials.

It is quite another to liken these same officials to Adolph Hitler and Nazis while encouraging others to kill them.

Sadly, certain conservative talk show hosts are doing exactly this. Such egregious characterizations go far beyond free speech. The result of this unforgivable rhetoric could be a national tragedy from which we may never recover.

We should insist that everyone, famous or not, show respect for those with whom they disagree. Inciting violence is inexcusable and un-American.
