T-shirts tell of violence:

Aurora University will host "The Clothesline Project," a display of T-shirts handmade by victims of domestic violence, from 11:45 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. today in Dunham Hall lobby, 1400 Marseillaise Place, Aurora. The free display, sponsored the university's Social Work Association, features 30 shirts hanging on clothesline ropes. Visitors are invited to donate new or used plain T-shirts that will be given to domestic violence victims to design. Call (630) 844-5794.

Renew swim passes:

Hall Quarry Beach 2008 season pass holders can renew their season passes at a discounted rate through Thursday. Register at the Civic Center, 327 W. Wilson St., and the Eastside Community Center, 14 N. Van Buren St. Civic Center hours are 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. today and Thursday. Eastside Community Center hours are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. today and Thursday. High school fashion show:

The St. Charles East High School fashion merchandising classes will host a fashion show at 7 tonight at the Norris Cultural Arts Center. The show, "Fashion Destinations," is open to the public and includes 80 student models. Contact Nancy Kroll at nkroll@d303.org.

Kane clerk's closing:

The Kane County clerk's office will be closed on Good Friday, April 10, and will reopen for regular business Monday. Call (630) 232-5950.

Egg hunt, lunch:

Flowing Grace Methodist Church will have an Easter egg hunt and lunch for the community at noon Sunday at Herget Middle School, 1550 Deerpath Road, Aurora. The event is free.

Parenting workshop:

Geneva School District 304 offers the free workshop "Parent-to-Parent/Lessons Learned" this month and in May. Each workshop is made up of four separate sessions, during which such topics as recognizing the signs and symptoms of an unhealthy child, the battle against teen drinking and drug use, and identifying the common traps parents fall into with children, among others, are discussed.
