Hanover Park man charged in stabbing
A Hanover Park man has been charged with misdemeanor battery after police say he stabbed a neighbor twice in the chest.
Alejandro Hernandez, 41, of the 2400 block of Leslie Lane, was given a $3,500 bond when he appeared before Cook County Circuit Court Judge Joseph Urso Wednesday.
Hernandez had to post 10 percent, or $350, to be released from custody.
Hanover Park police have not returned calls to explain what happened and why the charge was a misdemeanor.
Prosecutors confirmed that Hernandez's victim is a man living in another apartment building on the same block.
Hernandez's next court date is Oct. 13.
