Stone not suited to village board

Who is Lisa Stone? I have been a resident of Buffalo Grove for 40 years, and have volunteered on the Buffalo Grove Days Committee for nearly 20 years. In that time, I have known almost all of the Village Trustees personally, and have come to know that each of them wanted what was best for the Village.

I had never heard of Lisa Stone before the current Village Board campaign, mainly because she has never volunteered for any Village Commissions or Committees. She apparently has little knowledge of how our Village government actually works. Recently, I've started to hear negative things about her from people I trust, including that she has been making baseless personal attacks on Trustees who have served this Village for decades. These are people that she wants to work with. She is already showing that she won't!

In my opinion, this is not the kind of person that is suited for the Village Board, where cooperation, respect and mutual trust are essential. And if she doesn't know how the Village works, how can she be expected to help us, especially in tough economic times? Now that I know more about Lisa Stone, I know I won't vote for her, and I hope others will think twice before they do.\
