Tolomei will guide project's finish

There is a Japanese proverb that says, "Beginning is easy; continuing, hard." That sentiment is appropriate to keep in mind when considering the Lake Zurich Uptown project and the character of the leader needed to bring this project to a successful conclusion.

John Tolomei has been engaged in the project from the start. He was part of the visioning process, detailed planning and, now, the implementation. When I listened to the candidates at a recent forum, I took note of their capacity to communicate and professional competency to complete this project.

John's career as an attorney and veteran of real estate development in the village serves us well. I know Mrs. Branding believes she has the village's best interests in mind, but her slate seems more interested in negative sound bites and the distribution of misleading statements.

That is not responsible leadership. When you walk into the voting booth on April 7, recall another truism: "It's best to not change horses midstream." Vote Village Pride.
