Selective memory benefits Democrats

Calvin Woodward of Associated Press has a selective memory regarding the Valerie Plame case. Valerie Plame was supposedly a "secret" agent of the CIA outed by Robert Novak.

First of all Robert Novak did not release that information, it was later learned that Mr. Armitage of the state department provided that information. The press had a field day, except that Valerie Plame was no "secret" agent, she did work at the CIA as an analyst. Val testified but no one asked her what was her job.

The whole scenario was orchestrated by the Democratic party to embarrass President George Bush. The issue revolved around yellow cake used to make enriched uranium. Val's husband went to Niger to investigate, which he did not, he drank mint tea in the capital.

After he returned, he blasted the administration. It was Val who sent her husband to Niger, not the president. In addition, coalition forces did find tons of yellow cake in Iraq; however, the media by this time lost interest and did not report this significant development.

This culture of corruption by the Democrats extends beyond the beltway. The press is compliant and reports selectively.

Was President Clinton investigated for giving ballistic missile technology to Red China? No. Was Senator Dodd and Representative Franks investigated for starting the whole mortgage fiasco? No.

However, we can start cleaning house here in Illinois. Send a message to Washington and to the state owned press that we will elect Matt Murphy as the next governor, and Mark Kirk as the next senator.
