'Anybody but Mullins' for Palatine

The Daily Herald endorsement of Rita for a sixth term is narrow-sighted, laughable and ridiculous. You people have no vision or guts. Your political people need to get out into the community much more and find out what the ordinary common people are saying, thinking and feeling. If you did, you would see that the battle cry is "anybody but Rita, anybody." I wish someone would make lawn signs that say that and put them out for everyone to see. you would have hundreds of them showing up in Palatine.

Rita Mullins is so badly out of touch that it is sickening and painful. Oh, she knows how to be available for any photographer that might be around and mug for the camera, she has that down to a science. You people do your part to make sure that her picture is in this newspaper every chance you get, especially if it is a slow news day, you make sure you find space for her picture in it somewhere. Every time she leaves town, she must have one of your photographers on retainer that travels with her, because you can bet that you will see her picture somewhere shortly thereafter, and toward the front page, of course. Since when do her trips help local business, which according to you she is criticized (and rightly so)? I have yet to see any return on any trips she has taken, which we taxpayers pickup the bill. Please Daily Herald, get you facts straight, but then again, you are good at twisting facts, aren't you. No wonder your subscribership is down. Endorsing Mullins won't help either. By the way, the only reason I read your paper is because I get it free. I would not pay one penny for this distorted out of date point of view or endorsement. Again, anybody but Mullins, anybody. Come on Jim or Vito, please.
