Hanover Park OKs new village manager

The Hanover Park village board has approved the appointment of Ron Moser as permanent village manager effective Oct. 1.

Moser was the police chief for 11 years and had been serving as acting village manager following Marc Hummel's departure in May.

In a statement, Mayor Rod Craig lauded Moser's work within the police department and said he will bring leadership to the village as it focuses on economic responsibility and crime prevention.
