Strong language can incite violence

Words do matter.

Words can soothe. Words can help promote healing.

Words can also hurt, promote hatred and issue calls for vengeance.

The anti-abortion bunch preach their brand of hatred and violence labeling pro-choice people as murderers, anti-Christ and hurling threats of eternal damnation upon those of us who are pro-choice. And then comes the murder of Doctor George Tiller.

Perhaps the most sickening aspect of the George Tiller killing were the religious fanatics carrying signs proclaiming "God sent you a rifle." You people provided the ammunition.

The cast of characters changes, but some in the religious community would attempt to force their religion and their words down our throats.

No thanks.
