More charges filed against Prospect Heights man in threat case
A Prospect Heights man accused of threatening to kill a Wheeling woman with a butcher knife faces additional felony charges in a grand jury indictment unveiled at a court hearing Thursday.
Steven Page, of the 1200 block of South River Road, was charged with aggravated kidnapping, residential burglary and home invasion. Page already faced charges of armed violence, violating an order of protection and battery.
Page has several prior offenses, according to information presented last month at his bond hearing.
Among them are an aggravated unlawful restraint conviction in 2003, for which he received one year probation and a two-year order of protection to stay away from his victim. He was sentenced to 30 months in prison for violating an order of protection and aggravated battery in 2005. And last year, Page pleaded guilty to domestic battery involving bodily harm and received a three-year prison sentence, officials said.
Page is being held in Cook County Jail in lieu of $250,000 bond. His next court appearance is Oct. 14 in Rolling Meadows.
