Hanover Park police host picnic

The Hanover Park Police Department will host a COPS Day Picnic from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday, Sept. 28, in an effort to foster better relationships with members of the community and to encourage residents to get to know their neighbors. The free event, sponsored by the Hanover Park Park District, takes place at Community Park, 1919 Walnut Ave. Entertainment includes face painting, Parky the Clown, a police canine demonstration and, weather permitting, a police vehicle and helicopter display.
