What a great festival BG Days 2009 was!

As co-chairs of Buffalo Grove Days 2009, we want to thank all those who participated in making this event another great year!

Our committee is comprised of 52 wonderful volunteers who spent countless hours planning and working the Festival. The village staff including the police, fire, and public works work hard behind the scenes to assure the festival runs smoothly.

St. Mary Parish and the Buffalo Grove Chamber of Commerce also deserve acknowledgment for their participation.

Our new Kid's Craft Tent proved to be so popular; we ran out of craft supplies! We will bring back and expand this event next year.

We increased the carnival wristbands to three days this year, a very popular decision.

After 26 years as parade chairman, we honored Joe Tenerelli's retirement from this position by honoring him as parade grand marshal.

The BBQ Challenge had 23 grillers making 40 different entries for the judges to taste. We sold tickets to the public for tasting the entries and raised $116. This money has been divided and sent to the Wheeling Township and Vernon Township food pantries.

The Buddy Ball game was a celebration of fun and sportsmanship. Over 500 people attended this game this year!

Thank you all for your attendance & participation. We will see you at Buffalo Grove Days 2010!
