A story that will brighten your day
On Tuesday, Sept. 22, our mother fell in a parking lot in Palatine and was taken to Northwest Community Hospital by the wonderful, caring Palatine paramedics.
The story does not end there. Our father, age 91, attempted to drive to the hospital but got lost. He was in an unfamiliar neighborhood and knocked on the door of a very kind lady. When he told her his story, she told him that she could get him to the hospital. She took the time to drive to NCH with Dad following her. She directed him into the ER parking garage and then slipped quietly away.
We have no way of thanking her except through a public letter. My sisters, brother and I are so grateful. Our mother is doing well after having her head stitched at the hospital. The ER personnel are fabulous. Thank you to all.
