Kane-DuPage erosion seminar

The Kane-DuPage Soil and Water Conservation District offers a seminar on "Soil Erosion and Sediment Control" from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Dec. 12 at James "Pate" Phillip State Park, 2054 W. Stearns Road, Bartlett.

This seminar is intended to provide engineers, planners and consultants with insight and clarification on local, state and federal regulations regarding soil erosion and sediment control for construction sites, as well as guidelines for Best Management Practices selection, installation, and maintenance.

Sessions will include updated regulatory information from the Army Corps of Engineers and the Illinois Environmental Protection Agency, designing Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plans, performing soil erosion and sediment control site inspections and an overview of new soil erosion and sediment control products.
