It's no surprise that seniors get shorted

Once again, the genius of our government is at work. The federal government said that because of no inflation there will be no social security raise this year. What was the cause of the raise in Medicare insurance? That is not inflation?

State government wants to get their 2.5 percent cost of living raise and they will probably receive the raise because they need the money. How could there be a cost of living increase if there is no inflation?

Perhaps the federal government should change the wording from inflation to cost of living. This way the seniors can also receive a cost of living raise. Or better yet let's just raise taxes, once again.
