Pay your own children's way

A recent letter incorrectly stated that Illinois has the lowest income tax rate in the country. That is simply not true. Many states have income tax rates lower than Illinois, including several with no income tax.

This same letter writer named several reasons to support an increase in income taxes; most related to programs for children. I have a novel idea. Let parents pay for their children, not other taxpayers.
