Tests awaited in fatal Barrington Hills crash
Toxicology tests will take approximately six weeks, delaying when the police investigation into a head-on collision that killed a mother and daughter in Barrington Hills last Saturday morning is concluded.
Barrington Hills police said the use of toxicology testing is standard procedure after such a major collision. Killed in the impact were Barbara Page, 30, and her 7-year-old daughter, Angelina, of Wonder Lake.
Page's 6-year-old daughter, Madison, remained in critical condition Tuesday at Advocate Lutheran General Hospital in Park Ridge. According to police, Page's vehicle was eastbound on Route 62 when it crossed the double yellow lines and struck the rear of one westbound vehicle and then the front of another.
The driver and passengers of the other vehicle hit head-on were treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
