Tea to honor Democratic women leaders

The Northwest Suburban Women Democrats will honor progressive Democratic women leaders at a tea in the tradition of Eleanor Roosevelt, 2:30-4:30 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 11, at the Kenneth Young Center, Elk Grove Village.

The date commemorates the 125th birthday of Eleanor Roosevelt. Congresswoman Melissa Bean and other progressive elected women office holders will be honored.

NSWD represents women from suburban Cook, DuPage, Kane and Lake Counties and recruits and supports progressive Democratic women who are either elected officials, candidates, or actively involved in campaigns.
