Kirk no friend to our troops
I wish Kirk had demanded that we finish the fight in Afghanistan before skimping on that mission for Iraq, leaving our soldiers, our NATO allies and worst of all Afghan civilians vulnerable to a resurgent Al Qaeda and Taliban.
But on the most pivotal national security questions of the last eight years, Mark Kirk has stood with the failed policies of President Bush. After $650 billion spent in Iraq, $200 billion in Afghanistan, and almost 4,700 GIs killed in action overall, it's clear that a true friend to our troops is someone who will help them bring their mission to a close and return home to their families. Mark Kirk doesn't cut it.
