Letter from Nicor prompts questions
I recently received a letter from Daniel R. Dodge, president of Nicor, offering 5 cents off per therm through the October 2009 billing. The statement made in the letter is that Peoples Gas and North Shore Gas customers paid more for gas than others in the area.
How about telling us why we paid more?
Also, are the people that negotiated the price still with the company, and will they get bonuses like AIG, and if the answer is yes, why?
The second part of the paragraph is that "the good news is that we can change suppliers." Oh, please tell me how.
We, the customer, have had enough of the deregulated companies who's only view of the world is the bottom line and screw the customer.
Maybe it's time that the states attorney looked into the gas companies' operation. This letter smells of the old shell game.
