Cubs-Cardinals game postponed because of rain

Rain has postponed Sunday night's game between the Chicago Cubs and St. Louis Cardinals at Wrigley Field.

The game was called about 3 hours before the scheduled first pitch with more rain forecast throughout the night. The game will be made up July 12th as a day-night doubleheader.

The Cubs and Cardinals meet for a three-game series in St. Louis beginning Friday.

Ted Lilly was scheduled to pitch for the Cubs, who are off Monday before opening a three-game series against the Cincinnati Reds.
