Quinn: Blagojevich TV 'hard to believe'

Gov. Pat Quinn says the idea of a reality TV show starring Rod Blagojevich is "hard to believe."

But Quinn said Wednesday that Blagojevich has every right to ask a federal judge for permission to go to Costa Rica to film NBC's "I'm a Celebrity ... Get Me Out of Here!"

The network says it wants Blagojevich to be one of 10 celebrities who'll test their survival skills in the jungle.

The ousted governor needs a federal judge's permission to appear on the show because his bond currently doesn't allow travel outside the country.

Quinn says he expects the judge to make a wise choice.

Blagojevich has pleaded not guilty to federal corruption charges that include trying as governor to personally benefit from his power to appoint President Barack Obama's Senate replacement.
