I-55 traffic stop yields 237 pounds of cocaine
BLOOMINGTON -- Authorities say approximately 237 pounds of cocaine were found during a traffic stop on Interstate 55 in central Illinois.
The drugs are worth between $2.1 million and $3.7 million.
Three men were charged with possession on Friday in connection with the traffic stop.
Authorities say a McClean County Sheriff's Office K9 united pulled over a motor home driven by one of the men northeast of Normal. The cocaine was found in a concealed compartment in the vehicle.
The U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration in investigating.
