Antioch man killed by train near Lake Villa

An Antioch man was killed early Sunday after being hit by a freight train.
Brian Lamberg, 37, was struck about 1 a.m. as he walked along railroad tracks near Route 83 and Grass Lake Road near Lake Villa, according to Lake County Coroner Richard Keller. Lamberg, who was alone, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Keller said it was unclear where Lamberg had been or where he was going. The results of toxicology tests will be available Monday or Tuesday, Keller added.
"Unfortunately, we get a certain number of these every year," he said. "Some people even use those train paths to get places."
