Flyers seek families to host players for 2009 season

The Schaumburg Flyers are seeking families to join in the Flyers Host Family Program for the upcoming season.

The Flyers' roster is composed of 22 players with the majority between the ages of 22-27. The team currently has 11 host families and seeks 7 more families willing to house a player for the Northern League baseball season.

Northern League rules limit the number of players for which the Flyers may provide housing, but they can help by having families open their homes to them. In return, the Flyers will provide season tickets for all Flyers home games.

Players will arrive in Schaumburg after May 1st and will need housing throughout the season. The last regularly scheduled game is Sept. 2, and the Northern League playoffs could last until the third week of September.

Families are asked to provide a bedroom, preferably a basement or guest room space with a refrigerator. Meals are not required, but are welcomed.

In addition to 4 reserved seat season tickets, sponsors will receive recognition on the field prior to a game during the season.
