Wise to stick with proven leadership
As an Arlington Heights resident, I am proud to live in such an upstanding community. We have taken the lead as a model community that many other municipalities strive to emulate. We have held steady in the forefront due to our elected officials unwavering oversight, fiscal responsibility and vision toward the future. As a proud resident, I am insulted, but not surprised, by the Phil Walter 5 slate's continual negative criticism of our village.
I believe there are times we can respectfully agree to disagree on issues but I do not believe our community and village are as dire as the Phil 5 would like us to believe. I am appalled by their unfounded contentious propaganda. Simply, criticism is prejudice made plausible. My question to them would be: If Arlington Heights is so horrible why do you continue to reside here?
I hold fast to my belief that we can continue to make a "Great Village Better" by re-electing Mayor Arlene Mulder, Trustees Norm Breyer, Joe Farwell and Bert Rosenberg along with electing Tom Glasgow. These five candidates have experience and positive leadership qualities that go unmatched. During these uncertain economic times, or "rainy days," I support these five stalwart individuals to be our umbrella.
Now more than ever we need leadership that understands local, county and state government. We need elected officials who understand the financial and legal ramifications of their decisions. We need leadership with the prudence to envision the entire scope of an issue without petty contentious picking. We need individuals of excellent and honest integrity who have the true welfare of Arlington Heights at heart. I believe Mayor Mulder, Trustees Breyer, Farwell and Rosenberg as well as Tom Glasgow possess these attributes and have a proven record of loyalty to the residents of Arlington Heights.
I am proud to support Arlene Mulder for mayor, Norm Breyer, Joe Farwell, Bert Rosenberg and Tom Glasgow for trustee to continue moving our great village positively forward toward the future. I hope you will join me in voting for these upstanding candidates on April 7th.
