Four injured in five vehicle accident in Bartlett

Four people were injured and transported to an area hospital following a five vehicle accident this morning on Route 59 in Bartlett, police officials said.

Authorities said the four were transported to St. Alexius Medical Center in Hoffman Estates where they are in good but stable condition.

Officials did not have any information regarding the accident that took place at the intersection of Route 59 and S. Park Place Drive at 5:48 a.m. The accident remains under investigation.

The roadway has been reopened, officials said, after one lane was closed down in each direction while the scene was cleaned up.
