Congress opts out of its own plan

The elected officials in Illinois who voted for the government-run health care bill have said "let them eat cake" to us Illinois voters. The health care bill they voted for has a provision excluding them and their families from the government-run health care services the bill will provide.

Any problems with future health care services that may arise due to the bill (rationing of health care services, waiting periods for treatment, denial of treatment due to age, taxes and penalties), will not affect them or their families. They will receive superior health care services through a special plan which is funded by the taxes that we - their constituents - pay.

The message our elected Illinois representatives have sent to us is loud and clear. It says "The health care bill we voted for is good enough for you - the working class of Illinois, but it is not good enough for us - the privileged royal class of Illinois."
