Marklund egg hunt

The Mothers Club of Geneva is sponsoring Marklund's Easter Egg Hunt at 10 a.m. April 4 at the Hyde Center, 1S450 Wyatt Drive, Geneva. Children up to age 10 are welcome. Registration is due today, March 23. A $5 donation is suggested. Marklund is a nonprofit network of services for infants, children and adults with developmental disabilities. Film looks at steroid use

Aurora University is presenting "Bigger, Faster, Stronger," a documentary about steroid use, at 7 p.m. tonight, March 23, in Perry Theater in the Aurora Foundation Center for Community Enrichment, 1305 Kenilworth Place, Aurora. There will be a discussion after the film. The film's director is Christopher Bell. The film also looks at how America views drugs and cheating. Admission is free, but reservations are required. Business presentation

The Center for Business Education, Innovation and Development will present a panel on financial markets and the impact on local businesses at 4 p.m. Thursday at the Geneva History Center, 113 S. Third St., Geneva. The group is a nonprofit initiative to safeguard the economic well-being of the Tri-Cities area in the face of global competition. Moderating the panel is Sheila Penrose, who co-founded and chairs Corporate Leadership Center, a partnership between major corporations and Kellogg School of Management. Park renovation planned

Fox Valley Park District trustees have approved a $422,000 bid award to Fuerte Systems Inc. of Plainfield for construction of Montgomery Park improvements as part of the District's Open Space, Park and Recreation Investment Plan. The 6.8-acre park that extends along the west bank of the Fox River between Mill Street and the Montgomery dam will receive renovated restrooms, new playground equipment and upgraded trails for improved accessibility.
