In Hawthorn Woods: Morgan, Dobbs-Corrigan and Ansani

Four trustee candidates are seeking election to three board seats in Hawthorn Woods. Incumbent Neil Morgan has served the board well since being appointed in 2007 and will continue to do so if elected in April. The Daily Herald endorses him.

Newcomers Kelly Dobbs-Corrigan and David Ansani would also make good additions to the board and are endorsed for the other two seats. Dobbs-Corrigan, a resident of the Glennshire subdivision, has the knowledge and smarts to help fix the water pollution problems there. Ansani provided good solutions for how the board, village and residents can open up communication and repair relationships. He and Dobbs-Corrigan agree that a financial director is needed to solve the budgetary problems the village faces.

Morgan, Dobbs-Corrigan and Ansani agreed on most issues and understand the importance of improving the village's reputation. All three are very involved in the community.

Newcomer John Schaefges offers good ideas concerning development and growth in Hawthorn Woods, and his experience with building in town is impressive. Hopefully he will bring helpful planning to the village when they are financially ready for it.
