McCain's election would be a disaster
Some Fence Post observations:
1) In response to the O'Connors of Palatine (Oct. 23), we do not truly live in a democracy. We live in a republic.
2) In response to Mr. Boni's rant (Oct. 23) regarding Barack Obama's associations, perhaps we should ask the same question regarding John McCain's association with a celebrated Mr. George W. Bush. Who among these associates have done more to destroy America? I assume it is the person whom McCain distances himself on a daily basis.
3) If the tandem of McCain and Sarah Palin somehow (and I can't understand how this could happen in a sane world) win the election, America will have definitely jumped the shark and all we'll need now is for Fonzie to wed Joni. Good bye, middle class; Good bye, health care; Good bye, hope; Good bye, America; Hello, Big Oil. (Boy I wish I was in the upper one 10th of 1 percent; life would be so, so easy.)
