Wheeling should stop burdening us

How interesting that Wheeling wants the public to pay for a hike in the 911 surcharge cost.

We didn't ask for a new state of the art public works building or a new police department.

We were taken over by the Village of Wheeling, not by our choice, forcing us to update our fire codes. This was a major cost for us at $150,000 out of our reserve fund, with no help from the Village.

We will remember the names of our public officials when voting times come around. It's time the Village stops putting more burden on the taxpayers.
