Branding is all talk, but no data, facts

Judi Thode of Lake Zurich noted in a letter to the Daily Herald that Lake Zurich Mayor Tolomei and Trustees Callahan, McAvoy and Taylor voted "no" to Trustee Branding's request for further delaying development of the TIF District by having the village do further due diligence on the developer, update financial projections and, of course, the usual stalling tactic of environmental impact. Ms. Thode is obviously a devoted supporter of Ms. Branding. The developer has already been put through the proverbial wringer for weeks now. Previous stalling on financials and other items have delayed this project for years to the point where the real estate market started crashing as the first new condo buildings went up for sale. One only has to look at what now physically exists along Main Street on our lake and see an environmental mess. If Trustee Branding's motion had any validity to it why did Trustees Poynton and Johnson of her own political party ultimately vote to go ahead with the proposed development? Judi Thode left that out of her letter.

Trustee Branding and her followers have never been specific as to their plans for downtown, now uptown. Will we see wind turbines and solar collectors on Main Street across from the lake or maybe a pseudo-downtown Long Grove, which, by the way, has been failing financially for some time? Let's see some facts and data from Branding's so-called CARE Party, not just lofty phrases with nothing behind them.
