Made in U.S.A. is still meaningful

I grew up in Switzerland. I was born just before World War II started, and a few years after the Great Depression had ended. Switzerland did not have war in the country, but we learned to appreciate food of any kind. You ate what was served or it would be your second meal of the day (any waste did not exist). Dad was on active duty and Mom would raise us. Food was rationalized for years. The time that we are in right now is very troubling and for many people quite scary.

Many people now regrettably look back at jobs they quit without good reasons, food and clothes they wasted or threw out but we all learn from mistakes.

I remember fully well seeing people in this country (going to restaurants and wasting lots of food over the years) as a restaurant and hotel employee.

When my parents bought things and it would say on it "Made in U.S.A." we felt good about the item. How times have changed. Today we look at anything except maybe cars and it says "Made in China".

America, you can do better than they can at anytime, but make it in the United States of America and that itself will create millions of jobs. Unions were OK at times but are also a reason that got us into this mess. America can do without them.

My father used to tell us in reference to things you needed in life. "We are not rich enough to buy cheap stuff" and he was right because it doesn't last long.
