Lantz re-elected as McHenry Co. coroner

In the race for McHenry County coroner, longtime Republican incumbent Marlene Lantz received a majority of votes over Democratic challenger David Bachmann.

With all but two precincts reporting, Lantz had received 76,751 votes to Bachmann's 50,228, according to unofficial results.

Bachmann criticized Lantz over her handling of the Woodstock Residence death investigations and her administration's spending, but also faced questions about his own personal financial troubles that include two bankruptcy filings.
