Bormann would be worthy successor

In just a few weeks, on April 7, Bartlett will be electing a new mayor.

I wanted to take this opportunity to thank Cathy Melchert for her 16 years of service. She has seen Bartlett through a huge population growth (over 40,000 people) and her integral accomplishments have brought Bartlett a long way. We are grateful.

There are many things to be proud of living in Bartlett, though it is not without its problems. Bartlett has proved to be a wonderful place to raise our daughter. It is beautiful, safe and filled with families who care.

For the responsibility of managing a town of 40,000 people, the mayoral position in Bartlett is a part-time position and the pay is significantly less than you might think. This is a crucial time for Bartlett to move forward with good management making appropriate decisions.

Sherry Bormann will be my choice for mayor on April 7. She is currently a village trustee (second term) and has hands-on experience with what works for our village and what doesn't.

In these economically difficult times, Sherry is qualified to manage Bartlett's finances. Sherry has years of business management experience working for the Federal Reserve Bank. I have witnessed her tireless effort to improve education for Bartlett's children.

Organized, honest and hardworking, Sherry Bormann is a perfect fit for our town's future. If you are interested, read more about Sherry's platform at Bormann4Bartlett.com.

I hope that everyone comes out to vote on April 7. Bartlett's future is in our hands. Here's to Bartlett's continued future success!
