Wolff helps Wizards rally for draw with Fire
BRIDGEVIEW -- Josh Wolff scored two goals late in the second half to help the Kansas City Wizards rally for a 2-2 tie with the Chicago Fire on Saturday night.
Wolff's tying goal came with a minute left in regulation, as he knocked in a pass from Michael Harrington at the back post, securing a point for the Wizards (2-2-1).
That came after Wolff, a member of the Fire from 1998-2002, converted a cross from Claudio Lopez at the same spot of the field in the 78th minute.
The goals were Wolff's first of the season after he had three in 11 games last year.
Despite the tie, the Fire (2-0-3) extended their season-opening unbeaten streak to a franchise record five games.
Chicago appeared to be headed to a victory after Brian McBride scored twice in the first half and the defense allowed Kansas City just one shot.
The former U.S. national team star's second goal came on a cross from Cuauhtemoc Blanco, who was making his first start of the season.
The midfielder had been used as a substitute for three games as he recovered from a knee injury.
