$20,000 reward offered in 1992 Chicago cold case

The FBI and Chicago Police Department have announced a $20,000 reward for information about a 28-year-old woman missing since 1992.

Elizabeth Veloz was last seen on July 26, 1992, at a bar on Chicago's southeast side. She was with three men who say they dropped her off in East Chicago, Ind.

No arrests have been made in the case. Authorities don't believe the mother of three young children is still alive.

Veloz was last seen wearing black stone-washed jeans, a Georgetown University T-shirt and a blue sweater.

An FBI spokeswoman says Veloz disappeared around the same time as Tammy Zywicki, a college student whose case garnered much of the media attention at the time.

Officials hope the reward will lead someone with information to come forward.
