Government wrong to want more taxes
I just got an e-mail that Palatine Township is levying more taxes. I am amazed at the pace all cities, villages, townships, counties, state and federal governments are increasing taxes.
How many of you got raises during last few years? Unemployment is still at 10 percent. There are people who are not even looking for jobs any more.
All these politicians, where are they getting this message that people are making more money now than before and can afford more taxes? Home values have gone down drastically yet property taxes went up.
If this trend continues, our grandchildren will be getting only food stamps and shelter allowance and no pay check.
