Tri-Cities has great retirement homes

We commend the Don Lindman column in the March 9 Daily Herald and can personally attest to the excellence of Michelsen as a Holmstad resident and Delnor as a patient.

As an evaluator for an insurance company, I have visited several scores of facilities throughout Illinois and can confirm Rev. Lindman's opinions of poor operations. I have left some heartsick because of what I had witnessed.

It was a heartening at one facility where the superintendent said, "Facilities like ours should be the safest place on earth." That facility had the lowest fire insurance rate in Illinois - putting your money where your heart is!

Aren't we fortunate to have three five-star facilities on our area?
